DESCRIPTION:The Jackson Civil War Muster is one of the largest re-enactment gatherings in the Midwest. It is a two day event with Civil War encampments\, vendors\, history demonstrations\, food and battle reenactments. \nThe event details for 2026 are: \nSaturday\, August 22nd 10AM – 5PM\nSunday\, August 23rd 10AM – 5PM\nNote: the hours above are generally the hours of the merchant vendors\, but the reenactment has secheduled activities throughout the evening on Saturday. Check the website information below for details of all of the events and activites on the weekend schedule below. \nAuthor\, Michael Delaware has applied to again have a booth at this event. If approved for a booth\, he will have his books on Victorian Michigan True Crime available at this event. He is planning to have his newest book ‘Crime and Corruption on the Michigan Railroad: Stories from the Victorian Era’ available for the first time ever. The new book has three different stories that happened in Jackson County. \nThe event is held at Cascade Falls Park\, and it is an incredible outdoor history event. Mark your calendars!
