Join me at the Willard Library located at 7 W. Van Buren Street, Battle Creek, Michigan tomorrow night on Thursday evening March 14th at 6:00 PM for a special presentation one of the stories from my new book ‘Victorian Southwest Michigan True Crime‘. The story I will be presenting is one of the most tragic murders that ever happened in Battle Creek. It occured in 1886 in a place in town that once existed called ‘Dibble Hill’.
The section of town was named after Leonidas Dibble, who owned a home in this area. He was a prominent lawyer during those days, and was instrumental in bringing the Peninsular Railroad to Battle Creek. In later years, as homes were built up across the road from his residence, the people in the community began referring to that section of town after well known attorney.
No connection to Mr. Dibble, a horrible event happened in one of the homes across from his residence one cold winter evening in January 1886. I will unfold the dramatic details of the story in a special presentation at this event, and then have for sale copies of the new book. I hope you will come out to get a signed copy!
Copies of my new book Victorian Southwest Michigan True Crime is now available and can be purchased through my website here, or on Amazon, or wherever books are sold!
