The 2nd annual Michigan True Crime Symposium is returning to Art 634 in Jackson, Michigan on Saturday, April 5, 2025. I am excited to have organized this again for a second straight year. This year the line up of authors consists of eight very talented writers who love telling stories from Michigan history!
Joining the Michigan True Crime Symposium for the first time this year are: Rod Sadler, Mikel B. Classen, Amberrose Hammond, Allie Seibert and Peggy Grigowski! Returning for the second time are Tom Carr, Judy Gail Krasnow and myself, Michael Delaware. All of the authors will be telling true crime stories from Michigan history from different parts of the state. It is going to be an exciting mix of creepy and chilling storytelling!
The event is being held at the former wagon and box factory adjacent to the historic Michigan State Penitentiary in Jackson. Today it has been converted to an event venue facility called Art 634, and it is located at 634 Mechanic Street, Jackson, MI. The space offers an eclectic mix of art, sculpture and paintings in contrast to the exposed brick walls and iron piping in the ceilings. It is the perfect space to tell long forgotten stories from Michigan History!
The Michigan True Crime Symposium is a free event. The venue space has been graciously donated by Art 634 in support of authors from our state. The format for the event will consists of the authors telling stories from their books, with breaks in between for socializing and book signing.
This is a great event to pick up your next book to read, as well as ask questions from published authors! If you have an aspiring writer in the family, or perhaps are struggling with getting published yourself, all of the authors will take part in the question and answer session at the end. You will definitely want to mark this event on your calendar!
